Dinner at the Dodmans'

We had a chance to have one last evening at the Dodmans' house before leaving Prague. The Dodmans have been great friends and next-door neighbors during our three years in Prague, and we will miss them. They have four children (all teenagers!): Brian, Katie, Maggie and Clair, and our kids love them. They also have a big Lab named Rocco that the kids are missing as well. We hope to see all the Dodmans again soon!

A rare pool day in May in Prague

Today the girls and I went to the outdoor pool (Petynka) that we practically lived at last summer, and it was wonderful! Martha is on a half-term break, so Riverside is one of the few schools out. As a result we had the kids' pool to ourselves for a few hours.

As you can see, the Normand girls are definitely water babies!

Jennings is on the mend

Jennings is thankfully doing well and recovering from her treatment, although she still has quite a bit of swelling, bruising and intermittent pain. She's incredible, though, having handled many questions and stares with grace and patience. We are really seeing some improvement as her cheek heals, and are happy that it was successful. She will return in late June to Children's Hospital in Boston for another treatment with possibly two more to follow, depending on her physician's assessment. Please keep her in your prayers!
