Meet Porter Blackford Normand

Baby Porter Blackford Normand was born today at 1:34pm, weighing in at 8 pounds 4 ounces and 19 inches long. He's healthy, quiet (a welcome change!!) and sleeping like a fool. No complaints here. Quite a different arrival from Grayson's, but fortunately Daddy was on hand in case he needed to step in for Dr. Reue. We had a fabulous L&D nurse and she made the time go very quickly and as enjoyable as possible. Martha, Jennings, and Grayson came for a brief but busy visit to meet their new baby.
Big sister Jennings, still recovering from her own surgery last week at Children's Hospital of Boston.
Daddy and all the little ones.

Mimi (Stephanie's mom) meets Porter.

Denny (Craig's mom) meets Porter.

We have also enjoyed a visit from Porter and Monika Wilson, and Monika even brought sweets that I have been without for far too long!! Thank you Wilsons!

Austin, at last!

Finally, the Normands have arrived in Austin! Ok, so we have been here about two weeks now, but only about one week in our house. Unfortunately, NONE of our furniture or household goods have made it to Austin, so we are "camping out" in the house. Air mattresses and camp chairs...but now we actually have phone and internet. Thank goodness for our friends the Wilsons and the Hahns, who have supplied us with the above camp chairs, TVs, card tables, and all manner of assorted toys to keep the little ones from crawling the walls! We may even have a baby by the end of the week...now if we just had a cardboard box to put him in!

Summer fun

Although we are already in Austin, I thought it would be fun to post some photos from our three weeks in Charleston. We had a great time visiting Mimi and Pop and our friends and were very sad to leave.

Fun and sun in Charleston (photos coming soon...)

Martha, Jennings, Grayson and I have been having a great time visiting my parents ("Mimi and Pop") in Charleston, South Carolina for the past two weeks. We have been to the beach numerous times, to our friends' the McKoys house and pool, for haircuts with our favourite hairdresser Marianne, out in the boat, and even to a Charleston Riverdogs baseball game! (Of course we have had a few trips to Target as well.) I have had a tough time downloading photos, but they are coming soon! My laptop has been at the computer doctor but hopefully will return soon. We are all missing Craig (especially Grayson!) and can't wait to meet up with him next week in Texas. Now if we could just get our furniture and household goods to meet us in Austin, we would be very happy.
